Our Services

Grief & Loss

Grief is the normal reaction to loss; whether it be a job, home, pet, relationship, or loved one. Each person’s grief is unique and deserves to be acknowledged and supported. Grief can feel like you're stuck in time and unable to move forward in your life. It can completely change your identity and values. It can be physically and emotionally draining. Therapy can help you process the pain of your loss and identify small steps towards healing after your world has been turned upside down.

Youth Counseling

Childhood and adolescence are a time of tremendous growth and change. These changes can lead to identity exploration, peer and family conflict, and struggles with anxiety, depression, confidence and body image. Therapy can be a safe space for young people to explore their identity and values while also creating healthy coping skills for these life transitions.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma informed care recognizes the impact of your experiences on all aspects of your life and aims to provide a safe and supportive environment in order to reduce the risk of re-traumatization and facilitate healing. The guiding principles of trauma informed care include safety, trust and transparency, peer support, collaboration and mutuality, empowerment, voice and choice, and cultural, historical, and gender issues. We know that addressing trauma in therapy can be uncomfortable and scary. We are committed to providing you with services that help you to feel safe, empowered, and connected.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy is a trauma focused treatment that can help reduce the intensity of trauma related symptoms through bilateral stimulation (i.e. eye movements, gentle tapping, or sound). An EMDR Therapist begins treatment by helping you build emotional resources and coping skills to safely encounter the distressing memories. Throughout treatment, target memories will be explored through the use of BLS to help reduce the intensity of the memories and to change negative thoughts or beliefs about yourself.

Substance Abuse

Substance abuse can cause significant problems in your work, home, and social life. Therapy can help you to connect with your values, develop coping skills, and build a community of support to reduce use that may be causing you more harm. Your therapist can provide a nonjudgmental space to explore underlying causes of substance abuse and assist you with developing a plan to reduce use and improve your quality of life.
